As an independent artist coming out of Oakland, CA he plans to bring the essence back that hip hop doesn't see enough. Heavily influenced by the struggle, substance and authenticity of artists like Tupac, Lauryn Hill, Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco, T-ran has used those influences to further help shape him lyrically as they also helped with the foundation to find his voice.
