Born in Portland, OR, Mannix has moved around a lot before returning and settling back in to the city. After spending time in both New England and Oakland, CA he found himself back in Portland at the start of Covid re-evaluating the music he made and the artist he was becoming. After almost two years of waiting the project is finally here. More honest and humble than before, Mannix covers topics much more intimate and personal throughout Samples With Some Bars. At only 21 years of age, Mannix has lots of room to continue growing. Already the sole producer, writer, mixing and mastering engineer, he has maximized his control over the artistic process helping to create an even more personal sense to the music. Mannix falls back on extensive knowledge of various music genres for sampling, thanks to a childhood of vinyl listening.
